LDII Mobilizes 30,000+ Volunteers

Let’s Do It India Mobilizes 30,000+ Volunteers for World Cleanup Day 2022

Nation’s largest civic environmental movements

On September 17, 2022, Let’s Do It India (LDII) led one of the nation’s largest civic environmental movements in celebration of World Cleanup Day. In collaboration with HCL Foundation, over 30,000 volunteers gathered across Noida and other regions to remove litter, raise awareness, and promote sustainable waste management practices.

The campaign extended beyond urban centers. In Srinagar, LDII volunteers launched a cleanup drive at Dal Lake, one of Kashmir’s most iconic water bodies, engaging local communities and youth to restore the lake’s ecological balance.

Cleanup Drives Across Noida and Beyond

The heart of the action beat strongest in Noida, where thousands of citizens—students, youth groups, RWAs, and employees—joined hands to clean up streets, parks, and markets. From segregating plastic and non-recyclables to educating bystanders on sustainable waste practices, the campaign transformed communities into hubs of climate action.

LDII’s unique strength lies in its grassroots mobilization, and this was seen in full force as cleanup activities spread across villages, towns, and tier-2 cities—not just metro hubs.
