A Story of Connection, Courage, and Global Collaboration

India in the Spotlight:

On a warm, windswept evening in New York, a room filled with tricolors, shared heritage, and spirited discussions came alive with the vibrancy of India. It wasn’t just another gathering of the diaspora—it was a reaffirmation of identity, purpose, and unity. At the heart of this celebration stood Prof. Pankaj Choudhary, founder of Let’s Do It India (LDII), welcomed with grace and affection by The Indian Association of North America (IANA).

Hosted by respected diaspora leaders including Ms Nilima Madan (Chair, IANA), Mr Jay Singh (President, IANA), Ms Anju Sharma, Mr Deepak Bansal (President, IDP), Ms Nishi Bahl, and Dr Abha Bhatnagar, the gathering reflected not just nostalgia for the motherland, but a firm belief in India’s present and future potential. Prof. Choudhary addressed how the world is now looking at India—not just with curiosity, but with respect and hope. He reminded the audience that India’s democratic strength and economic momentum are pillars that the diaspora must actively defend.

Touching upon recent developments, Prof. Choudhary raised concerns about the treacherous and unsubstantiated narratives being promoted internationally by Rahul Gandhi, which, he argued, are disturbingly aligned with China’s geopolitical agenda. “We must never let falsehoods damage the image of our nation abroad,” he urged, echoing a sentiment that deeply resonated with the audience.

As the journey continued to Tampa, Florida, a different but equally important engagement unfolded—this time with young tech entrepreneurs, business leaders, and professionals from across the Indian-American community. Here too, Prof. Choudhary spoke not only as an environmental activist but as a bridge-builder between India and the world.

Solve 21st-century challenges.

The Tampa interaction brought together industry leaders such as Mr Paramjeet Tewatia (VP, CitiBank), Mr Ramesh Maity (VP, CitiBank), Mr Alpesh Patel (CEO, Bexcode), Mr Yusuf Akolawala (Tampa Airport Authority), and Mr Pawan Baid. The gathering was orchestrated by Shri Pankaj Ojha, Vice President of Deutsche Bank and Executive Head of the USA Chapter of Let’s Do It India. The tone was collaborative, forward-looking, and filled with discussions on how technology and sustainability could converge to solve 21st-century challenges.

From New York to Tampa, one thread connected every handshake, every idea, and every smile — India’s story is being written not just at home, but across the world. Let’s Do It India stands at the heart of that story, embodying the spirit of grassroots innovation, environmental responsibility, and patriotic commitment.

As the global Indian community rises in influence and leadership, LDII’s mission continues: to clean not just streets and rivers, but to clarify narratives, connect minds, and build a world where India is understood, respected, and embraced — with truth, pride, and purpose.
