Let’s Do It India Leads a Massive Community Cleanup Drive in Senapati, Manipur

In the serene hills of Senapati district, Manipur, a quiet but powerful revolution unfolded

One driven not by slogans, but by action. As part of its ongoing mission to build a cleaner, greener India, the Let’s Do It India Foundation (LDII) organized a major cleanup drive that brought together communities across Senapati with one purpose: to reclaim and restore their environment.

On a vibrant morning, the streets, markets, and neighborhoods of the district headquarters witnessed a wave of positive energy. Local youth groups, women’s organizations, village councils, students, NGOs, and community leaders joined hands with LDII volunteers to clean public spaces, clear litter, and promote environmental stewardship.

The drive covered central market areas, residential lanes, and important connecting roads across the district. Volunteers meticulously collected waste, sorted it into recyclable and non-recyclable streams, and educated residents on better waste management practices. Beyond the physical act of cleaning, the campaign emphasized sustainable behavior change—teaching people the importance of segregation, recycling, and responsible consumption
