Forging Global Bridges: Let’s Do It India Foundation and the U.S

Ohio Civic Fellowship Story

In the realm of international diplomacy, some of the most enduring bridges are built not through treaties—but through people, shared ideals, and grassroots exchanges. Since 2021, Let’s Do It India Foundation has proudly partnered with the U.S. Department of State to facilitate the Professional Legislative Fellowship Program, aimed at fostering cross-cultural civic engagement, leadership development, and strategic cooperation between India and the United States.

Over the last four years, Let’s Do It India has sent 20 emerging leaders—from political, social, and entrepreneurial sectors—to the U.S. under this prestigious initiative. These fellows have engaged with lawmakers, policy experts, think tanks, and advocacy groups, deepening their understanding of democratic governance and public service in the American context while sharing India’s grassroots experiences in sustainability, innovation, and civic participation.

At the heart of this powerful exchange is Prof. Pankaj Choudhary, Founder of Let’s Do It India. A recognized changemaker in the social development space, he was personally invited and honored by the Ohio State Senate and House of Representatives. Sponsored under the U.S. Department of State’s International Legislative Fellows Program, Prof. Choudhary was welcomed as a distinguished international guest by Representative Christina Hagan, Senator Frank LaRose, and Senator Larry Obhof, who commended his leadership in youth empowerment and environmental consciousness.
